My Story by Marcella Gomez
Hello Everybody,
First, I’d like to mention that I procrastinated so badly on writing this story. I’m pretty sure it got to the point where my missing story was the topic of the day. at Stand a Chance. I just didn't feel like writing about the past. I’m honestly so grateful and excited to move into my own adult life that I’d rather not look back or even talk about it. I realize that is unhealthy and I can help other kids like me, but that is how I felt and feel nonetheless. Then, they said I should write exactly that, because what we really want to know is how your feeling about it all, at this point in your life. Well, I am very happy and relieved and nervous but excited. I am even proud of myself for being focused and just knowing what career I wanted to be on, because so many of my friends can’t decide what they want to do.
Short on words I may be, but I submitted great pictures! That counts for something, because that was hard for some. This picture above is the ONLY PICTURE WITH MY MOTHER. Isn’t that weird? and sad. There isn’t one as a baby or with a birthday cake. This ONE is the ONLY ONE. So we tried to mimic it present day, because cooking is one of our favorite things. Baking to be more specific. We roll out dough for pies, flour all over. It’s still so fun for me. I was eight years old, then eighteen below, 10 years of my life. My grandma is the best cook. Oh, that’s the two of us at Easter Brunch, and we must mention the silly hat she wore.
